Splashing onto the scene in 2021, InvestiGators: Take the Plunge by John Patrick Green delivers exactly the chaotic, waterlogged energy its title promises — the cover alone shows two suited alligator agents in the thick of a flooded, tiled room, armed with a plunger and surrounded by spilling buckets, a masked raccoon accomplice, and a small robot sidekick. Green's bold, energetic linework gives the whole scene a gleefully cartoonish momentum that earned a "Fantastically funny!" from Jamie Smart, creator of Bunny vs Monkey.
