A young woman named Valerie becomes involved with Charlie Ormand, a gang member who attracts her with promises of thrills and excitement. After Charlie introduces her to his lifestyle and criminal associates, Valerie's mother discovers the relationship and disapproves, but Valerie is drawn deeper into the gang world. Eventually Valerie realizes Charlie's true nature—that he only wants to marry her for her family's money—and when she attempts to break free from him, Charlie becomes violent and controlling, leading to a tragic confrontation that ends their relationship.
