Ray Fawkes's Intersect has always pushed the boundaries of visual storytelling, and this third issue announces itself with a hauntingly beautiful watercolor cover. A bearded, bald figure emerges from swirling washes of amber and teal, flanked by blue jays in flight as delicate shapes dissolve into the air around him — the whole image feeling less like a snapshot than a memory caught mid-dissolution. It's the kind of cover that rewards a slow look, perfectly suited to one of 2015's most quietly daring series from Image Comics.
