Tori Miki's Intermezzo Volume 3 brings its understated charm to a quietly delightful winter scene, with a lanky, bemused adult standing amid a group of bundled-up children rolling a snowball — while an umbrella tumbles through the air above them and a small dog rests in the snow below. The series' signature minimalist line work and dry wit are on full display, making this 2009 Éditions IMHO release a genuinely appealing entry in Miki's warmly offbeat anthology. A cozy, funny read that rewards anyone who appreciates comics with a light touch and a keen eye for everyday absurdity.
