"The Baroness's House" involves Arnold Laubers and a woman named Eloise who are held captive by criminals in the baroness's jungle mansion; Eloise is forced at gunpoint to retrieve a stolen gun, but manages to help Arnold escape. "The Blue Boar" follows the exploits of Jonathan Wild, a confidential agent, who hatches a scheme with the criminal "Bushy" to steal silver plates from the Ashworth mansion, then resells them back to the owner as part of a con to split the proceeds; the plan succeeds repeatedly until they attempt to steal the king's crown, leading to their downfall.
In 18th century London, Jonathan Wild rises from a common horse thief serving time in Newgate Prison to become something far more dangerous: a criminal mastermind who controls the city's underworld. After his release, Wild builds a ruthless operation that doesn't just steal—he engineers robberies, then poses as a respectable "confidential agent" who recovers the stolen goods for grateful victims, pocketing the difference while ensuring every thief in London knows they must answer to him. As his power grows and Parliament passes new laws against his enterprise, Wild adapts and expands his grip, becoming untouchable—until his ambition and cruelty finally catch up with him.
When Bert Saney and his gang are released from Leavenworth, they return to Chicago ready to resume their car-theft racket—only to find a new law requiring bills of sale and titles has closed down their old operation. Saney refuses to be stopped, devising a bold scheme to steal cars, forge their paperwork with altered titles, and resell them as legitimate used vehicles. As the gang's audacious thefts multiply across the city, law enforcement closes in, and Saney's overconfidence threatens to unravel everything.
