Adam Warlock awakens at the beginning of creation, not sure of who he or his purpose. He travels to Earth in order to seek the assistance of the original Avengers in repairing his memory, only to find that the team does not recognize him. After determining that the heroes cannot help, Adam Warlock restores the timeline and leaves Earth to find the Guardians of the Galaxy. Warlock finds the team in dire straits, and arrives just in time to save Gamora from an injury sustained in their last battle.
