As the tribe swears allegiance to a ghostly voice claiming the false Phantom must die, the duo presses on—setting charges deep within the mountain. Arriving with the dynamite to blow the volcano safely Guran and the Phantom discover Tuluck stirring up mischief, with everyone supposedly hearing the dead Kiyanga telling them they must kill the false Phantom. Temporarily ignoring this, the Phantom and Guran enter the mountain to prevent the eruption. Setting the charges the Phantom gets caught inside the mountain when it blows. He was successful and quieted the mountain. Tuluck uses the quieting and forces his tribe to follow him into the mountain to cement his control, only to find the Phantom waiting for him disguised as Kiyanga.
