In "The Super Apes," the Phantom races to stop a gang of masked criminals disguised as great apes, who've kidnapped the Llongo King and forced him to learn their strange language. When Patrolman Smythe is framed for a gold theft and sentenced to death, the Phantom intervenes—only to be captured and left to perish in a burning building. Escaping with a surprise of his own, he returns to dismantle the ape gang's scheme and deliver them to justice.

In this lighthearted 1966 Indrajal Comics tale, Henry’s soapbox car becomes the star of a whimsical chase when he toots his horn at a girl for a ride—only to be politely declined. Undeterred, he finds a dog to join him, then lucks into a chauffeur who gives both his dog and the car a ride, towing the whole rig past the very girl who once turned him down.
