While swimming a bird steals the Phantom's Ring from his belongings, and drops it for Bobby to find. His mom hangs the ring around his neck. Pirates attack the ship they're on, and one of them discovers the ring. Word of the ring gets to all the pirates and they return their loot and run. Once gone the ship radios in a report, and the pirates are caught. Asking about the ring Bobby confesses he lost it on the dock. It's found by Mary. Prince Randolph arrives in port and runs into Mary as he is kidnapped. Following the ring the Phantom thwarts the kidnappers. And the Prince gets the girl.
