This is an anthology issue featuring multiple stories about Native Americans. "Satana the White Bear" depicts the capture and imprisonment of the Kiowa leader Satana by Colonel Custer following seven years of raids from 1867 to 1874, ending with Satana's death in a prison cell at Huntsville, Texas in 1878. "Starlight of the Hurons" follows a young warrior named Starlight who seeks to prove himself by catching squirrels to earn the title of hunter, with guidance from an elder woman. "Long Bow—Blackfoot Boy" appears as another featured story in the issue.
