This issue contains three stories. "Davy Crockett in Death Stalks the Alamo" depicts the legendary frontiersman's final stand. "Mescalero Vengeance" follows the outlaw Dry Gulch Charley as he terrorizes the Southwest until Chief Bear Fang and his warriors pursue him for justice. "Little Eagle and the Bird of Thunder" tells of a young Indian brave who possesses a magical secret and must save his tribe from massacre and prevent greedy outsiders from exploiting the magic under the guidance of old Chief Red Cloud; the story also involves Magic Arrow, a famous Indian, who is jailed but discovers the militia and Chicasaws are disguised as Senecas, and he learns of a planned revolt by Chief Thunder Cloud against the settlement.
