This anthology issue contains two stories. "Double-Dealer's Arrow Payoff" features John Thundercloud, Great Chief of the Mighty Sioux, who receives a message from a white friend asking him to guide a wagon train to California; however, a treacherous white villain named Wild Eagle attempts to rob an innocent boy of his heritage while the Sioux leader battles to stop him. "Fire from the Stars" depicts the Pueblo tribe facing attack from the Comanche, who threaten to scalp and loot the village; the Pueblo seek a powerful warrior named Swift Elk to help defend their homeland against the savage raids.
