The cover of this 2023 Daedalus release makes an immediate impression: a massive, cold-blue dragon looms from the depths, its fiery orange maw agape as a tiny human diver plunges directly toward it — a shipwreck visible far above on the surface. Writers Mathieu Gabella and Christophe Deconinck team up with artist Christophe Swal, whose cover work here is genuinely striking in its sense of scale, and colorist Simon Champelovier bathes the scene in an eerie contrast of icy blues and molten golds. "Udo" promises an underwater adventure where the danger is vast, ancient, and very much alive.
