Ice Cream Man #4

Few comics capture cheerful dread quite like Ice Cream Man, and issue #4 delivers a cover that's equal parts charming and unsettling. Against a deep purple sky dominated by a blood-red moon, the grinning Ice Cream Man pedals a tandem bicycle through a cemetery — his skeletal passenger riding along behind him, bony hands gripping the handlebars, while an ice cream cart box is mounted up front. Martin Morazzo's cool blue palette makes the whole ghoulish scene feel almost whimsical, which somehow makes it all the more creepy.
