The Butcher's War" reaches its third chapter in this 2024 entry from BOOM! Studios, with a cover by Nimit Malavia that pulls you in with its moody, art-nouveau atmosphere. A young woman stands with her back to the viewer, holding a curved blade up to her reflection while rows of small suspended figures — eerie, doll-like — hang in the darkened space around her. Tate Brombal and Antonio Fuso continue crafting this unsettling corner of the Something is Killing the Children universe, and Miquel Muerto's deep purples and cool teals give the whole image a haunting, dreamlike tension.
