House of Mystery #82

From DC's long-running anthology series comes this January 1959 entry, featuring the story "The Riddle of Earth's Second Moon." Bob Brown's cover pulls you right into the tension — a blond man in green is being dragged helplessly into a glowing hillside by some eerie force emanating from a hovering yellow flying saucer, while a horrified companion in a hat and blue shirt points and cries out the warning captured in the speech bubble. It's a wonderfully unsettling snapshot of late-'50s sci-fi strangeness, all for just a dime.
