House of Mystery #219

One of DC's beloved 1973 horror anthologies, House of Mystery #219 presents a cover by Luis Dominguez that sets an unsettling swamp scene: two boys creep through murky vegetation, one of them reaching toward a small crocodile at the water's edge — completely unaware of the massive, snarling reptilian creature looming directly behind them in the moonlit darkness. That contrast between the boys' obliviousness and the towering monster at their backs makes for genuinely effective cover storytelling.
