Hot Stuff, the Little Devil #57

Harvey's pint-sized infernal imp is putting his built-in fire to delicious use on this cheerful December 1963 cover, penciled and inked by Warren Kremer — Hot Stuff crouches beneath a rolling barbecue grill, his fiery tail blazing upward to cook a loaded rack of sausages while the whole contraption teeters on wheels. It's a wonderfully silly image that captures everything lovable about the little devil, and with "Automaland" on the docket inside, this issue promises the kind of playful mischief that made Harvey Comics a staple of early-'60s childhood.
