Harvey Comics' pint-sized red devil is in a delightfully self-referential mood on this 1959 cover — Hot Stuff sits absorbed in reading his very own comic book, a glowing lightbulb blazing above his head as inspiration apparently strikes. It's a charming, clever image that captures the mischievous warmth that made this little horned charmer such a Harvey favorite, and at a dime a copy, issue #12 was an irresistible pick off any newsstand.
