This issue features "Clint Curtis and the Road Knights," the main story centered on Clint Curtis, who is invited by his uncle Jim Sandul to visit Daytona for racing. Clint meets a Road Knight named Ken King, who drives a 164-cubic-inch Plymouth, and later encounters Joe Kincaid, a racing driver who suffers a serious crash with a skull fracture and internal injuries. After Joe's recovery, Clint and his friend Stashu build a high-powered race car with a 515 cubic-inch supercharged engine in a junkyard, which they test-drive despite initial mechanical difficulties.
