An anthology of humor comics featuring multiple stories. "Horsefeathers" on the cover shows slapstick gags involving characters in chaotic situations. One story features a blue character attempting to fly in a makeshift aircraft that crashes, only to be caught by another flying creature. "Bats in the Belfry" follows a woman named Mary introducing her new boyfriend to friends, with various characters telling tall tales about their past appearances. "Doodle and Dipsy" is a wordplay-driven comic set in a cellar where Dipsy hides money in an ash can to avoid paying rent, leading to comic misunderstandings with Mrs. Jiggers.

Scoop Scully gets a tip that a criminal nicknamed "the Droop" has fled the city, and the determined reporter sets out to track him down before the competition scoops the story. When Scoop's search leads him to a rodeo and he discovers that the fugitive, Rat Rodent, has a weakness for a particular brand of cigars, he hatches a clever plan to lure the crook out of hiding. It's a lighthearted caper that proves sometimes the best detective work comes down to knowing your quarry's habits.

When a group of boarding house residents all find themselves short on rent on the same day, chaos erupts as everyone scrambles to stay out of landlady Gertrude Jiggers' way—until a case of mistaken identity involving a chandelier, an ash can, and some hidden cash creates a comedy of errors that somehow just might save the day. Homer, Dipsy, Fleabite, and the rest of the house's quirky crew tangle with each other and their determined landlord in this slapstick romp that proves sometimes the best way to handle your debts is to accidentally stumble into the solution.
