Horace & Dotty Dripple #29

Harvey Comics' self-proclaimed "America's Laugh-a-Second Family" is in fine form on this cheerful April issue, as Dotty tends to a bowl and box full of fresh donuts — complete with a "Hands Off!" sign — while Horace sneaks a fishing rod to snag one dangling from a string behind her back. Their wide-eyed little girl watches from the side, already helping herself to one of her own, making it a full family caper in the making. It's warm, good-natured domestic comedy rendered in that bright, expressive Harvey style that made this series a reliable delight at the ten-cent rack.
