Horace #1
This handsome Revival collection gathers Poirier's beloved Franco-Belgian western comedy, and the cover sets the tone perfectly: a goofy, gap-toothed horse named Horace perches nervously on a crumbling cliff ledge — the crack spreading beneath him with a satisfying "CRRRRR" — while an absolute mob of cartoon cavalry soldiers and Native warriors clash in chaotic, slapstick battle far below, complete with a Pif Gadget banner flying in the thick of it. The whole scene radiates that warm, irreverent humor that made this series such a delight, packed with so much visual comedy you'll keep finding new gags in the crowd. At 39 EUR, this 2024 reprint is a wonderful way to revisit Horace and his wonderfully absurd Wild West adventures.
