# The Strange Refuge Hopalong Cassidy must contend with a group of outlaws who have taken refuge in a remote location and are holding people hostage. When Cassidy attempts to apprehend them, the criminals manage to escape, leading him to pursue them across difficult terrain. The story culminates with Cassidy tracking the fugitives and confronting them at a guardhouse, where he finally traps them with no means of escape.
