This Fall 1946 Fawcett publication puts the famous cowboy hero front and center in a pulse-quickening cover scene: Hopalong rides his white horse at full gallop alongside a moving train, reaching out toward a struggling figure on the rail car as a hat flies dramatically through the air. The story featured inside is titled "Blazing Trails," and at just ten cents, issue #3 delivers the kind of wide-open Western action that made Hopalong Cassidy one of the most beloved range riders of the era.
