Hopalong Cassidy #126
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeHopalong Cassidy finds himself in a genuinely dire spot on this December 1957 DC issue — the cover by Gil Kane and Joe Giella puts the silver-haired lawman face-to-face with a snarling jaguar while a gun-toting outlaw closes in from behind, leaving him caught in exactly the "two-way trap" the cover copy promises, with only one bullet to resolve it. The tension between those two threats — wild animal and human villain — makes for a wonderfully tense western image. Fans of frontier adventure will find this a satisfying entry in the long-running series, with interior work also by Kane and Giella alongside writer John Broome.
