The second chapter of Bastien Vivès and Resel Rebiersch's Honeymoon takes its title from "Coatlicue," the fearsome Aztec earth goddess — and the cover makes clear why that name looms large. A wide-eyed blonde woman clutches a glowing orb while a man behind her grips a machete, both pressing through a dark cave as a mass of serpentine tentacles surges forward, coiled around an ornate golden medallion. Vivès's linework (colored here by Brigitte Findakly) gives the scene a tension that feels genuinely unsettling, blending adventure-serial energy with something older and stranger lurking just beneath the surface.
