Peter Parker and Jacky explore an old house once owned by the inventor Professor Smithers, who disappeared decades earlier. Among the forgotten objects, they discover an unusual seed that appears to have grown slightly in size. Peter takes the seed home to study it, setting in motion events that lead to the emergence of a dangerous creature and require the intervention of Homem-Aranha.
