In "O Ataúde," Kraven the Hunter faces his final moments, driven by a desperate need to prove his supremacy—even in death. With his strength fading, he sets out to outwit his greatest rival, the Spider-Man, by attempting to become him and surpass Peter Parker in every way. Written by a legendary hand and illustrated with visceral intensity, this chilling tale explores the cost of obsession in the shadow of mortality.
In "Rastejar," Mary Jane waits anxiously for Peter to return home, unaware that Kraven has drugged him and buried him alive. With Peter gone, Kraven dons the Spider-Man suit and steps into the role of the web-slinger, while Vermin prowls the city’s underbelly, hunting for prey to drag into the dark. When Mary Jane provokes a pair of street thugs and flees, she’s saved by a Spider-Man whose brutality suggests something is terribly wrong—this hero is not her husband.
In "Trovão," Spider-Man confronts Kraven after a relentless pursuit, only to find the Hunter has already declared victory by donning his costume and claiming to have "killed" him. Instead of facing Spider-Man in combat, Kraven traps him in an underground cavern and forces him to fight Vermin, letting the monstrous foe prevail before releasing him. With a final, chilling promise to end his hunting, Kraven sends Spider-Man after Vermin—while he seals himself in a coffin, shotgun in hand.
