Hollywood Funny Folks #59
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeFrom DC's 1954 humor lineup comes this delightful issue of Hollywood Funny Folks spotlighting Nutsy Squirrel in top comedic form. The cover by Rube Grossman captures a wonderfully chaotic scene: a floppy-eared rabbit character in a plaid jacket is stuck fast in a sewer grate, buzzing with anxiety, while Nutsy confidently brandishes a lit stick of TNT and cheerfully promises, "Don't worry, Robert! I'll have you out of there in a second!" It's the kind of gloriously misguided optimism that made funny-animal comics irresistible, and at a dime a copy in 1954, this was pure entertainment value.
