The cover gag here is a timeless charmer: Nutsy Squirrel has dragged his chair all the way across the room from the telephone, holding the receiver at arm's length while insisting he's talking "long distance" — a perfectly silly bit of visual comedy. A bemused rabbit character looks on, asking why Nutsy is sitting so far from the phone, setting up the punchline with great timing.
