Part three of the "For Tomorrow" arc lands with this September 1999 installment of DC's Hitman, written by Garth Ennis with art by John McCrea and inks by Garry Leach. John McCrea's cover depicts a brutal mid-air confrontation — a dark-caped, clawed figure looms over two men who are sent flying, one losing his grip on a pistol as both reel backward in a chaos of impact and desperate motion. The purple-splashed, kinetic composition captures exactly the kind of rough, visceral energy that made this series a standout in DC's late-'90s lineup.
