In "Wer besiegt den Silber-Surfer?", the Hulk, convinced the Silver Surfer is an alien threat, charges into battle with the cosmic being—only to be effortlessly subdued. The Surfer, intrigued by the Hulk’s rage and the source of his power, investigates the gamma radiation that transformed Dr. Banner, seeking to heal the damage it caused. When the Hulk awakens mid-act, he sees the Surfer’s efforts as a new assault and strikes out again, forcing the cosmic traveler to retreat. As the Surfer vanishes into the sky, the Hulk vows to track him down and make him take him beyond Earth—into the stars.
