In "Das Monster erwacht," Namor, unaware he's under the Puppet Master's control, is pursued by the Army after a bank robbery. Wounded and seeking refuge, he dives into the Hudson River, where he meets Lady Dorma—sent to the surface to retrieve him as the ancient Behemoth has stirred, threatening Atlantis. Unbeknownst to them, the beast is now under Krang’s command. As Namor breaks free from the Puppet Master’s influence, a new threat looms: Krang orders the Puppet Master to create a new puppet, one that could turn the tide against Atlantis.
