"Her Highness" follows a woman with psychic abilities who sees numbers and claims to be a spiritualist; she becomes involved with a couple seeking guidance, but is revealed to be a charlatan when the husband arranges a scheme and she is exposed. Another story involves a reporter and a woman in a red coat pursuing a kidnapping case involving someone called "the Junior" taken from jail, leading to a dangerous confrontation in the desert where they attempt to recover ransom money. A naval-themed story depicts sailors and marines encountering trouble aboard a ship, with one character calling for help as chaos erupts on deck.
When Kid Eternity discovers that Professor Alkem's revolutionary diamond-making process has caught the attention of the unscrupulous Mr. Blodgett, he and his guardian Mr. Keeper call upon the expertise of Diamond Jim Brady to authenticate the stone—only to realize Blodgett has far more sinister plans in mind than a business partnership. Trapped in Blodgett's isolated estate and forced to produce diamonds under duress, Alkem finds himself at the mercy of a ruthless captor, leaving Kid Eternity to marshal all the legendary heroes at his command to mount a daring rescue from within enemy walls.
District Attorney Betty Bates arrests J.O. Kees, Jr. for his disruptive street behavior, but his wealthy father—determined to spring his son from jail—instead finds himself facing a kidnapping scheme that requires Bates's intervention to unravel. When a ransom demand arrives, Bates sets a clever trap to catch the criminals and rescue the hostages, only to discover the plot's true architect may surprise everyone involved.
