Hit Comics #112
In "Tausend Jahre leben," a convict is approached by a mysterious stranger who offers him freedom and a thousand years of life in exchange for signing a contract with his name. After the deal is sealed, he’s released and finds himself alone aboard a rocket hurtling into space—unburdened by hunger or thirst, destined to live through a millennium of solitude.
In "Der steinerne Reiter," an old man beseeches the statue of a long-dead hero to aid the struggling villagers, and when the statue answers, its gift is met with greed. As the townsfolk betray the old man’s trust, the stone rider awakens—its judgment swift and final. The old man, spared the fate of the others, is lifted to heaven as the statue returns to stillness.
