This anthology issue contains two stories: a romantic adventure tale in which a man named Andre is summoned by a woman to retrieve secret papers from a corrupt official named Beauchard, involving intrigue with royalty and a midnight ball, and a humorous story called "Pinky" about a street child who befriends a woman and receives a quarter from her. Additionally, the issue features a story about a man named Dave Howard who attempts to sell a diamond ring to raise money, but becomes entangled in a scheme involving his friend's mother and a woman named Fay, with romantic and deceptive complications ensuing.
