The second volume of Het Wilde Westen plunges straight into the action with "De ijzeren brigade" — and the cover by Fabrice Jarzaguet (colored by Isabelle Rabarot) sets the tone beautifully: a young, determined rider thunders across a shallow stream on a galloping chestnut horse, pistol drawn, cloak flying against a dramatic storm-lit sky. The warm amber and deep blue tones give the scene a real sense of urgency and wide-open frontier atmosphere.
