The cover of this 2025 Standaard Uitgeverij release tells you everything you need to know: a desperate line of rifle-armed defenders crouches behind barricades and barrels while an enormous enemy force surges forward through smoke and fire in every direction. Paolo Martinello's cover artwork captures the sheer overwhelming scale of the siege, with dozens of figures locked in furious combat across a battlefield swallowed by chaos and flame. "Het echte verhaal van de Far West" brings Mathieu Gabella, Farid Ameur, and James Vandermeersch's storytelling together with Martinello and Ronan Toulhoat's visuals for what looks to be a gripping, large-canvas retelling of one of the Far West's most legendary last stands.
