Heroes for Hire #14

Tied into Marvel's 2007 "World War Hulk" event, this issue finds the Heroes for Hire marching through a rubble-strewn cityscape that looks very much like a world under siege. The cover by Francis Tsai puts Misty Knight front and center in her red costume, leading a determined squad — including Shang-Chi, Black Cat, and a white-suited operative — through the devastation with an air of grim resolve. Zeb Wells scripts, with interior art from Clay Mann and Alvin Lee, making this a solid chapter in one of Marvel's more street-level team books.
