Written by Steve Skeates and illustrated by Jim Aparo—whose distinctive inks and dynamic layouts bring the tale to life—this issue follows Hrothelac, a man awakened to fury after a mysterious drug leaves him weakened and imprisoned. As he breaks free and flees toward the coast, pursued by guards and the weight of his own rage, he collapses into the care of a band of Celtic villagers, setting the stage for a journey that blurs the lines between myth and survival. The cover, a striking piece by Sam Glanzman, captures the intensity of the moment with a bold, dramatic composition.
