Hercules #2

The second chapter of Bob Layton's four-issue limited series sends Marvel's Prince of Power into the cosmos in grand style. The cover — also by Layton — depicts Hercules locked in a fierce mid-space struggle over a trident-like weapon with a fur-collared, helmeted adversary, while a massive armored figure looms watchfully in the upper right and a stern alien face glowers from below. With a story titled "Red Wolf Stalks the Stars!" and the boundless canvas of outer space as its backdrop, this 1984 series shows Hercules at his swaggering, larger-than-life best.
