Hellstorm: Prince of Lies #4

Issue four of Hellstorm: Prince of Lies arrives subtitled "Dark Shadows," and Michael Bair's cover art captures the tension perfectly — a shirtless, defiant Daimon Hellstorm braces himself with his flaming netheranium trident while a massive, smoke-wreathed demonic figure looms behind him in smoldering red. The contrast between Hellstorm's human form and the monstrous shadow at his back speaks to the push-and-pull at the heart of this series. Rafael Nieves, Len Kaminski, and the rest of the creative team were crafting some genuinely compelling supernatural drama for Marvel in 1993, and this issue — titled "The Devil's Word" — looks to keep that momentum going strong.
