Hello Buddies #93
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA May 1959 humor digest from Harvey, Hello Buddies delivers its promised "Gals and Gags!" with a courtroom scene straight off the cover by Frank Beaven — a wide-eyed blonde in a red bikini stands before a flustered judge, clutching an enormous yellow beach ball, while a scowling police officer looks on in disapproval. The judge's deadpan speech bubble — "Now just what was it the nasty officer objected to?" — sets the comic tone perfectly, and a small dancing figure in the upper corner adds an extra wink to the whole affair. At 25 cents, this was lighthearted escapism done with a knowing smile.
