The "Special Party Issue" banner on this 1953 Harvey humor comic says it all — Apartment 103 is clearly the place to be, and the chaos spilling out of that doorway proves it. A couple peeks in wide-eyed as a fellow tumbles over the door, a blonde in a swimsuit ricochets off the wall clutching a bottle, and a hapless resident tries to hold things together while a dancer cavorts in the upper corner. Frank Beaven's breezy, rubbery cartooning captures mid-century party-comic energy at its most gleefully unhinged.
