Hellhounds #2
This second issue of Image Comics' Hellhounds makes a strong visual statement with cover art by Joe Abraham — a red-haired woman in tactical black and red stands armed and alert in the foreground, while a broad-shouldered man in a jacket holds an assault rifle and revolver at her back, the two posed in a tense, back-to-back stance against a murky, shadowed backdrop. The pairing radiates a gritty, noir-thriller energy that suits the series' hard-edged tone perfectly. With writing by George T. Singley IV and colors by David Self rounding out the creative team, this 2003 series was clearly building something with real attitude.
