Hellblazer #75
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeGlenn Fabry's cover for Hellblazer #75 is a genuinely unsettling piece of work: a grotesque, decaying figure done up as a corrupted Uncle Sam — star-spangled top hat, white goatee, and a rotting hand pointed straight at the viewer — rendered with Fabry's characteristically visceral, hyper-detailed realism against a smeared backdrop of red, white, and blue. The imagery ties neatly into the story title "Damnation's Flame, Part Four: Hail to the Chief," suggesting that John Constantine's American sojourn has taken a dark, politically charged turn. Garth Ennis, Steve Dillon, and the rest of the creative team were clearly in ambitious territory with this March 1994 Vertigo entry.
