Vertigo's long-running series about Britain's most world-weary occult con man opens a two-part arc with this Glenn Fabry cover that sets an unsettling, sun-scorched tone. A cigarette-in-hand John Constantine dominates the foreground, his trenchcoat and haunted expression suggesting he's walked into something he'd rather not have, while a bald, seated figure waits ominously in the rubble-strewn background beside what appears to be a charred, burned object on a stone.
