Hellblazer #131
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freePart three of five in Garth Ennis's "Son of Man" arc finds John Constantine in unsettling territory, as Glenn Fabry's cover makes viscerally clear — a close-cropped, impassive face dominates the foreground while a tormented, clawing figure writhes in anguish behind it, bathed in an eerie red haze. The contrast between that cold stillness and the screaming horror in the background captures exactly the kind of dread Hellblazer does so well. With John Higgins handling interior art and Ennis at the wheel, this 1998 Vertigo issue is mid-arc tension at its most atmospheric.
