Hellblazer #117
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA graveyard at dusk sets an unsettling stage for "Widdershins, Part Two," the concluding chapter of this 1997 Vertigo arc written by Paul Jenkins with art by Sean Phillips. The cover, also by Phillips, is a vivid tableau: a streak of luminous green spectral energy erupts from the ground, its jagged form bristling with shrieking, clawing supernatural faces, while a terrified jogger clutching a cassette player sprints away and the unmistakable trenchcoated figure of John Constantine watches from the shadows between headstones. It's a genuinely chilling composition that captures Hellblazer at its atmospheric best — street-level dread meeting something far worse than human.
